“Under the conditions we found in Apollo 7, the state of being weightless actually enhanced many of our abilities. It was almost as if we had found a new freedom.”
Simply put, this film is a report on what it is like to work under weightless conditions inside the Apollo 7 spacecraft. More than just watching the first Apollo astronauts in space, what makes this film particularly noteworthy is the fact that it is 100 percent from the astronauts’ perspective. It is narrated by Donn Eisele, the Command Module Pilot for the Apollo 7 mission, and shot by cameras held by the astronauts. An entire film from the astronaut’s perspective is a claim no other film in this collection can make.
