This home movie from 1975 captures the Bretons during a visit to John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida. First, the family tours Launch Complex 39, where they marvel at its pair of launch pads, walk by the Vehicle Assembly Building, and take photos in front of a S-IC, also known as the first stage of the Saturn V rocket. Then, the Bretons head indoors to the facility’s visitor center—then known as Spaceport USA—where they see various components of the Apollo spacecraft, such as the Command and Service Module and Lunar Module Adapter. Finally, the family embarks on a bus tour of the Center and pose for pictures with a Lunar Module.
